Seek to Find Forgiveness
By Elder Christopher James Miller

I went down to the river swimming in sin
The Light did shine, but I wouldn’t let it in
Tried to find joy in unmentionable ways
This was a time in my dark dark days

Tried to stay up, but I sank back down
The river was a trap, I was gonna drown
I reached a hand into the light
Someone grabbed on, and held me tight

Pulled from the water and kept real safe,
Tinkle in His eye, a smile on His face
I was consumed by His Light
He told me he loved me, and hugged tight

He told me His plan, and together we ran
On the narrow path, to the promised land
I fell back down, I got back up
He carried me along, He never gave up

He handed me a glass, a bitter cup
I took the glass, and drank it up
It stung real good, but I felt joy
I was no longer a foolish boy

I learned of love, and how to forgive
My life to this man, I will give
The past life I lived, was nothing fear
But through His plan, It was made clear

He is the light, He is the love
He is the joy, He is from above
Through his sacrifice, I found peace
My Best Friend Walks With Me
